Quarantined

This week went by so slow haha. It started out with one of the sisters I live with testing positive for covid. Me and sister Alapa didn't need to quarantine thankfully but we did get to wear cute masks on our faces for the whole week yayayay

We finally got out into our area this week! Because we share a car it has been so hard to get into our area but because the sisters we share a car with were quarantined we got to go out almost everyday. We didn't have much success while we were out there but we did get to help an Auntie get dinner ready for her family so that was fun. She let us be her taste testers haha

One of our member meals this week the mom talked to her kids about the 3 wise men then proceeded to have all 3 of her kids give us gifts like they were the wise men. I think I would have been laughing if I wasn't so confused what was going on. The lady then started going around the house and throw a bunch of extra stuff she had into boxes for us to take. She is a bit of a horder. We are eating with them again on Friday so I will let you know what I come home with next week. Even though her kids definitely did not want to be there their family was very nice and the dinner was amazing!

Me and Sister Alapa finally got to show someone The Christ Child at the Visitors Center this week. It had been our goal for like 2 weeks now and we finally got to do it!

I hit my 3 month mark on Monday! To celebrate we got Sweet As ice cream. Best ice cream on the north shore!

Elder Dale G. Renlund said,

"If we all try to look past the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season and seek to be more Christlike, I know we can feel more connected to Him in our own lives and lead others to Him as well. As I have acknowledged those who may feel unseen, listened to those who feel unheard, and served those in need—especially during this sacred time of year—I’ve come to realize that the opportunity to be more like Him is one of the greatest gifts we have received from Him. No matter what the world may say about this holiday season, we can turn our hearts to the Savior. He is the essence of the spirit of Christmas."

Something that I have been asking myself the past couple of weeks and I invite you to ask yourself is "What can I give to the Savior this Christmas?"

Love you all
