Life Update:)

Here are some updates for the past couple weeks:



-i still haven't gotten past 555 jumps on my jump rope:( I'm getting a consistent 500. But I have seen improvement on how long it takes me to do it so that's good

-went on 3 exchanges in the past 3 weeks, I LOVE EXCHANGES!!

-referred Christy, who i met at our online teaching center to there local missionaries who seemed SO READY but has since stopped responding to me:( I have hope for her though. Everyone pray that her heart will be softened

-made my first friend (investigator) in the area, his name is Kawehi and his is so so so AWESOME!! The first day we met him we were sitting down with him and his wife for dinner and before we even started eating he told us that his goal is to be baptized by the end of the year! This man is so ready and so prepared and I am so excited to be the one that gets to help him on his path

-not only did we make one friend in the area we made 2! We met Patty when she asked for some help building some shelfs:) turns out it wasn't shelfs, it's was a whole freaking shed. I basically put the whole thing together by myself and I felt like a boss... but then we came back the next day with someone to help us with the finishing touches and I actually built the shed completely wrong and they had to redo the whole things. 

-got sick one day:/

-a member made us gryos!!! MY FAVORITE FOOD EVER!

-got to go to dinner with my cousins. definitely the highlight of the week!

-we had zone conference yesterday and we talked alot about getting back to the basics of missionary work

-I got an email the other day that said I hit my quarter mark of the mission



To be completely honest, these past 3 weeks have been the hardest weeks of my mission so far. The holidays were a lot harder then i thought they would and my sweet dog Bailey who is my best friend passed away Christmas morning. I miss her alot but I know that I get to see my loved ones again and that includes the animals that we all love so much



My new years resolution this year is to focus on hope. I have been listening to alot of general conference talks on the topic and one that stuck out to me that i think you all should go read is one that Jeffrey R Holland gave in the April 2022 general conference named "Fear Not: Believe Only"

First Week Of The Last Transfer

This is the first week of my last transfer. I can't believe it! Where did the time go? Sister Drury and I are staying together as Visitors Center Trainers and I could not be more excited. It's going to be a great last 6 weeks. Highs/Lows of the week: ☆We had our first lesson with Kennedy this week and it went so so well. She is such a faithful person. Her boyfriend, who is a member, was telling us that she is always encouraging him to go to church. Kennedy was so cute and took notes throughout the whole lesson so she wouldn't forget anything ☆There was THE BIGGEST SPIDER I have ever seen at the Visitors Center. I am sure it could have eaten me if it was hungry enough. One of the senior Elders was so brave and killed it for us. He is a true life saver ☆We got a shipment in of the Book of Mormon in Navajo. 1st edition! I remember when I was about 9 months into my mission talking to a man who was helping them translate it while he was serving his mission. At that point they we...

Yummiest Taco Soup Ever!

Highs/Lows from the week: ☆I had interviews with President Bassett yesterday and it was great ☆we saw a spider tie up a fly then kill it. Kinda cool but it was inside our house so then we vacuumed them both up. RIP the fly ☆lots of exchanges ☆One of our members girlfriend wants to take the lessons so we are excited to start teaching her ☆everytime we cook we get a million flies in our house. I think there might be a hole in the window screen. ☆we gave a tour to a lady named Elizabeth at the visitors center and at the end of the tour she says "so is there a place I can go to learn more?" Why yes Elizabeth, there is a place you can go to learn more.:) She wasn't interested in staying in contact with us but we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and showed her the church's website.
