MY BIRTHDAYS COMING UP

This has been such a long week because I have been soo tired! It's a good tired cause I have been having fun and LOVING life but man was I excited for p day.


I went on exchanges this week with one of my STL's, Sister Gonzalez. She taught me how to bare my testimony in Español: Sé que el Salvador vive y que el templo permite estar con nuestras familias para siempre, En el nombre de Jesucristo amen.


Sad story of the week: I was passing around our meal calendar and while it was being passed around someone STOLE my orange pen!! I loved that pen so much and it will be greatly missed..


My birthday was this week!! It was such a good day:) Sister Peterson planned a surprise breakfast and all the girls in my district came over. She also made a video of a bunch of my favorite people wishing me happy birthday! It was the sweetest gift ever! My mom sent me a file of a bunch of her families stories. I love family story's, they make me so happy to read them


This week in my personal study I was reading John 11. This is when Christ raises Lazarus from the dead. My favorite verse from this chapter is verse 35 "Jesus wept." Christ had a perfect knowledge of what was going to happen. He knew that he was going to raise Lazarus from the dead. But instead of just telling Mary and Martha exactly what was going to happen, he stopped and cried with them. He wept and held them in his arms. As a missionary, I have an eternal perspective which is very helpful and needed. But sometimes people don't need someone to come fix there problems or tell them what they need to do. Sometimes they just need someone to sit there and cry with them. To feel comfort and love. This is what it means to bear one another's burdens, mourn with those that mourn, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort (mosiah 18:8-9)

First Week Of The Last Transfer

This is the first week of my last transfer. I can't believe it! Where did the time go? Sister Drury and I are staying together as Visitors Center Trainers and I could not be more excited. It's going to be a great last 6 weeks. Highs/Lows of the week: ☆We had our first lesson with Kennedy this week and it went so so well. She is such a faithful person. Her boyfriend, who is a member, was telling us that she is always encouraging him to go to church. Kennedy was so cute and took notes throughout the whole lesson so she wouldn't forget anything ☆There was THE BIGGEST SPIDER I have ever seen at the Visitors Center. I am sure it could have eaten me if it was hungry enough. One of the senior Elders was so brave and killed it for us. He is a true life saver ☆We got a shipment in of the Book of Mormon in Navajo. 1st edition! Yummiest Taco Soup Ever!

Highs/Lows from the week: ☆I had interviews with President Bassett yesterday and it was great ☆we saw a spider tie up a fly then kill it. Kinda cool but it was inside our house so then we vacuumed them both up. RIP the fly ☆lots of exchanges ☆One of our members girlfriend wants to take the lessons so we are excited to start teaching her ☆everytime we cook we get a million flies in our house. I think there might be a hole in the window screen. ☆we gave a tour to a lady named Elizabeth at the visitors center and at the end of the tour she says "so is there a place I can go to learn more?" Why yes Elizabeth, there is a place you can go to learn more.:) She wasn't interested in staying in contact with us but we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and showed her the church's website.
