I'm Addicted To Sugar

Side effects from not eating sugar: I'm always hungry and never satisfied with what I eat, I'm grumpy all the time, constant headaches, and I am less bloated. Besides the less bloating I do not see the reason for wanting to not eat sugar because this is the worst! On the bright side Kawehi told us that keeping the word of wisdom has been very easy so glad one of us is doing well.


We met the sweetest lady on one of our trams. When we got to the temple she came up to me and started asking me different questions about our faith and the temple. She told me that she was Muslim and very happy in her beliefs but loved learning about what other people believe. Our conversation was SO good and we both learned so much from each other:) turns out we both have alot of the same beliefs, especially when it comes to life after death, we just call them something different they they do. I love when I am able to have interactions like this at the Visitors Center where we are both able to learn about the other person's faith while still being respectful.


I went to the temple this week and it was the first time I was able to go through progressive! It was also my first time since the changes and it was AMAZING! It is so centered on Christ and the way they explain things makes so much sense! I just loved it so much:)) It was a much needed Temple trip.


We were reaching out to our inactive members asking them how their Easters went. One of them called us right after we sent the text telling us she was at Costco and wanted to get us something. She ended up buying us at least $300 worth of things!!! It was actually such a miracle cause we didn't have any food to eat.


Prayers were answered at the Visitors Center this week. Lately I have felt like I can't feel the spirit with me. I just haven't noticed it in my lessons or in my studies. We had a lady come into the Visitors Center asking to watch God's Plan, a walk through video we have. After we watched it, without really thinking to much, I asked her to share her testimony of families with us. Without going into detail that was exactly what she needed me to ask her and it was a confirmation to me that I do have the spirit with me always. Elder Bednar gave a talk to the MTC about knowing when it is the spirit speaking to you. He said "be a good boy, be a good girl, honor your covenants, keep the commandments, press forward and God will guide your steps". As long as I am doing these things I can be reassured in knowing that I have the spirit with me:)


We made a new friend at Kawehi's daughters baby shower!

First Week Of The Last Transfer

This is the first week of my last transfer. I can't believe it! Where did the time go? Sister Drury and I are staying together as Visitors Center Trainers and I could not be more excited. It's going to be a great last 6 weeks. Highs/Lows of the week: ☆We had our first lesson with Kennedy this week and it went so so well. She is such a faithful person. Her boyfriend, who is a member, was telling us that she is always encouraging him to go to church. Kennedy was so cute and took notes throughout the whole lesson so she wouldn't forget anything ☆There was THE BIGGEST SPIDER I have ever seen at the Visitors Center. I am sure it could have eaten me if it was hungry enough. One of the senior Elders was so brave and killed it for us. Yummiest Taco Soup Ever!

Highs/Lows from the week: ☆I had interviews with President Bassett yesterday and it was great ☆we saw a spider tie up a fly then kill it. Kinda cool but it was inside our house so then we vacuumed them both up. RIP the fly ☆lots of exchanges ☆One of our members girlfriend wants to take the lessons so we are excited to start teaching her ☆everytime we cook we get a million flies in our house. I think there might be a hole in the window screen. ☆we gave a tour to a lady named Elizabeth at the visitors center and at the end of the tour she says "so is there a place I can go to learn more?" Why yes Elizabeth, there is a place you can go to learn more.:) She wasn't interested in staying in contact with us but we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and showed her the church's website.
