Everything Has Changed

We had transfers last week and everything has changed for me! I am living in a new house, in a new ward, with a new companion. I also don't have a car anymore. It's so weird because I have lived in the same house my whole mission and I have been in the same ward for the past 7½ months. Leaving my ward was the hardest thing ever! If I could have stayed in Hauula 2nd ward my whole mission I would have! They are the most amazing people ever and I am going to miss them so so much.


I am now covering 2 YSA wards which is really weird. I was in YSA my first 6 weeks in the mission field but it's different this time because now I am serving on BYU-H campus. It has been such a big adjustment! Hauula 2nd ward covered about 1/3 of my mission boundaries and most the people in my area werent members so we always had lots of work to do. Now my ward consists of 3 student apartment buildings and all of them are members. I know it just takes some adjusting but right now I feel very unproductive.


Being in a walking area now has made me realize how little I walked while having a car. I would literally walk from my car to my shift or to a house I was knocking on. My legs have never hurt worse then they do this week. Great workout though.


I was listening to a talk this week by Elder Claudio D. Zivic from 2018 and it said "Whatever our personal situations may be, I testify that our Heavenly Father is constantly saying, “I love you. I sustain you. I am with you. Do not give up. Repent and endure in the path that I have shown you. And I assure you that we will see each other again in our celestial home.”" God is not asking us to be perfect, he knew this life was going to be hard and that everyone was going to make mistakes. That is why he sent His son Jesus Christ to make it possible for us to repent. All God asks is for us to try our best everyday and with repentance Christ can make up the rest.

This is the first week of my last transfer. I can't believe it! Where did the time go? Sister Drury and I are staying together as Visitors Center Trainers and I could not be more excited. It's going to be a great last 6 weeks. Highs/Lows of the week: ☆We had our first lesson with Kennedy this week and it went so so well. She is such a faithful person. Her boyfriend, who is a member, was telling us that she is always encouraging him to go to church. Kennedy was so cute and took notes throughout the whole lesson so she wouldn't forget anything ☆There was THE BIGGEST SPIDER I have ever seen at the Visitors Center. I am sure it could have eaten me if it was hungry enough. One of the senior Elders was so brave and killed it for us. He is a true life saver ☆We got a shipment in of the Book of Mormon in Navajo. 1st edition! Yummiest Taco Soup Ever!

Highs/Lows from the week: ☆I had interviews with President Bassett yesterday and it was great ☆we saw a spider tie up a fly then kill it. Kinda cool but it was inside our house so then we vacuumed them both up. RIP the fly ☆lots of exchanges ☆One of our members girlfriend wants to take the lessons so we are excited to start teaching her ☆everytime we cook we get a million flies in our house. I think there might be a hole in the window screen. ☆we gave a tour to a lady named Elizabeth at the visitors center and at the end of the tour she says "so is there a place I can go to learn more?" Why yes Elizabeth, there is a place you can go to learn more.:) She wasn't interested in staying in contact with us but we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and showed her the church's website.
