1 Year Done

Transfers are today and nothing is changing for me. Sister Roskelley and I are staying together in our same pad, in the same YSA wards. Unfortunately they are taking my car away. They said other missionaries need it more then us, I beg to differ. JK, a walking area is going to be so good.

Still getting no sleep so that's awesome

We have been able to meet with alot of our members this week and it has been so amazing! Tbh I did not like serving in ysa  AT ALL when I first got here but ever since school started I have really started liking it. It's so much more fun when students are actually on campus. I also am finally starting to know who people are and I am growing relationships with the students.

I have a new fear unlocked! Groups of American students are TERRIFYING! let me explain, the only students that were on campus all summer long were the iwork students (a scholarship where they work at BYU-H and the school pays for their education). Most of the iwork students are from the Polynesian Islands or Asain countries. I don't know what it is with these people but they are SOO NICE! They always say hi to us and they make us missionaires feel like celebrities, honestly that is how all the locals here act. I don't think the new American students got the memo though cause they are always looking at me like I am a weirdo walking around with my jar full of origami scripture stars. Basically I am spoiled her in Laie and I don't know how I am going survive in the real world

A mini frog jumped into my shoe while I was walking the other day.

Last Sunday Elder Brent H. Nielson in the presidency of the Seventy came and spoke to all the missionaries in the mission. He talked a lot about the difference between the redeeming power of the atonement and the enabling power of the atonement. He shared Matthew 11:28-30, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." The enabling power of the atonement allows us to find rest in Christ and we are able to access this power by cheerfully submitting to the will of the Lord. Easier said then done for sure but as we focus on the good that is in our life or the things we are grateful for the trails in our life's seem more bearable.

This email was all over the place so I hope it makes sense

Xoxo,
Sister Jensen
