Have You Ever Seen A Cat... You Probably Have

This week mainly consisted of 2 things, general conference and cleaning checks.

General Conference was amazing! I love being able to hear uplifting messages and guidance from our living prophet and apostles. It brings me so much joy! One thing that does not bring me joy is that here in Hawaii Conference starts at 6am which means we are waking up at 5:15am to get to the Visitor Center on time to watch with everyone. I'm over it though, anything for Jesus!

Once a transfer(every 6 weeks) we have a competition to see who can have the cleanest apartment. For those who don't know I am a very competitive person. Here on the mission there not very many opportunities for me to be competitive so when we have these cleaning competitions I go ALL OUT! It is actually really bad. It keeps me up at night thinking about what I am going to clean the next day and no matter how much cleaning I do I never think it's clean. We were one of the last apartments to be checked this week so my poor companion had to put up with my OCD craziness all week! Needless to say we got a "WOW" on our cleaning report Stay tuned for next week and I will let you know if we won

Some fun things that happened this week is I got to talk to some of my favorite students on campus, we went to Target, I hit 1 year in Hawaii and 13 months on the mission:)

I was going to talk about my favorite talk from General Conference for my spiritual thought but all of them were so amazing I can't choose. There is a quote that I have been thinking about alot this week, and its from Jan E. Newmans talk when he said, "Jesus is not a Sunday-only topic." Here on the mission its not something that I have to worry about too much. My whole purpose as a missionary is to invite people to come unto Christ so I talk about Him A LOT! But I have been thinking about things I can do when I get home to keep Christ at the center of my life everyday! Obviously we should be doing the basics(scriptures, prayer, church) but on top of that what can I do to continue to grow my testimony and relationship with Him. I don't have any specific answer yet but its something we can all think about. Is Jesus a Sundy-only topic for you? How can you make Him a bigger part of your life starting today?

I hope you enjoyed conference as much as I did! I would love to hear some of your thoughts you had while listening:) And its not too late to watch if you haven't already! Here is the link to all the talks:

Love you all!
