Small And Simple Things

I hired my family to come up with the titles of my emails so for anyone is wondering why they are so out of pocket... thats why


Sister Roskelleys bike tire popped so we have been during lots of walking lately.


I saw God's hand in my life alot this week. I will give one example, I had a really good coversation with my mission president during interviews about turning outwards in our prayers. It answered alot of my questions I have had for a while. Then the very next day while I was on exchanges the sister I was with had the very same questions I had had about prayer and I was able to share with her what I had learned. The funny thing is is that we were supposed to go on our exchange last week but we had to reschedule. I never would have been able to share with her the things I learned from my interview if we didn't reschedule. Definitly a good learning moment for me that God's plan is always better then my plan


In my scripture studies this week I was reading about Captian Moroni. Through out my reading it talked alot about being prepared. Moroni was building up the cities because the Lamanites were coming to attack them. because of all there preparation and efforts, by the time the Lamanite armies got to the city it says "the city of Noah, which had hitherto been a weak place, had now, by the means of Moroni, become strong." (Alma 49:14) This made me think about my testimony and where I might need some reinforcements. How can I prepare my testimony so when hard things come I can withstand it and be spiritually prepared? I know that as I focus my efforts on Christ I can build that strong foundation.


If you are trying to build that foundation in Christ I would invite you to start simple. The scriptures say "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass." (Alma 37:6) If you haven't prayed in while, kneel down and share what is in your heart with God. If you don't remember the last time you opened the scriptures, open to a random page and read the chapters. If you are nervous about going back to church, send me a text and I will find you a friend to go with, I promise you the hard things you are going through in your life are easier to go through when you are going through them with Jesus Christ.

First Week Of The Last Transfer

This is the first week of my last transfer. I can't believe it! Where did the time go? Sister Drury and I are staying together as Visitors Center Trainers and I could not be more excited. It's going to be a great last 6 weeks. Highs/Lows of the week: ☆We had our first lesson with Kennedy this week and it went so so well. She is such a faithful person. Her boyfriend, who is a member, was telling us that she is always encouraging him to go to church. Kennedy was so cute and took notes throughout the whole lesson so she wouldn't forget anything ☆There was THE BIGGEST SPIDER I have ever seen at the Visitors Center. I am sure it could have eaten me if it was hungry enough. One of the senior Elders was so brave and killed it for us. He is a true life saver ☆We got a shipment in of the Book of Mormon in Navajo. 1st edition! Yummiest Taco Soup Ever!

Highs/Lows from the week: ☆I had interviews with President Bassett yesterday and it was great ☆we saw a spider tie up a fly then kill it. Kinda cool but it was inside our house so then we vacuumed them both up. RIP the fly ☆lots of exchanges ☆One of our members girlfriend wants to take the lessons so we are excited to start teaching her ☆everytime we cook we get a million flies in our house. I think there might be a hole in the window screen. ☆we gave a tour to a lady named Elizabeth at the visitors center and at the end of the tour she says "so is there a place I can go to learn more?" Why yes Elizabeth, there is a place you can go to learn more.:) She wasn't interested in staying in contact with us but we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and showed her the church's website.
