Last Weeks Email

I wrote up this whole email last week and forgot to send it. Sorry.


I hit 14 months this week! Honestly I forgot about it till someone wished me a happy month mark at the very end of the night.


High/Lows from the week:
☆We got to meet with so many of our members this week! Big success!
☆We ate buiscuts Figian style with our members. Buiscut(cracker) with butter and nutella on top. They also made us try a spoonful of powdered milk. It was weird. I don't think I would recommend.
☆Went to foodfest this week and tried yummy food from all over the world.
☆Finally got in contact with Keith and got to share a message with him. 
☆I keep having dreams that I am home from the mission. My brain needs to calm down, I still have 3½ months left!
☆We gave a tour to a couple at the Visitors Center, the wifes name is Pamela Anderson. The husband is a member but Pamela isn't. It was really cool to see how even through there differences they were still able to come together. It reminds me of President Nelsons talk "Peacemakers Needed".
☆I have a member who's name is Joe but he spells it Jeaux. I guess it is a Louisiana thing
☆We referred one of our friends at the Teaching Center to his local missionaries. Turns out he lives 3½ hours from the closest chapel


In Isaiah 41:13 it says, "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." Something that I have come to know to be so true, and I know you know to be true, is that life is SO HARD! It always seems like as soon as thing start to settle down some crazy trial comes in and knocks you down. Something that I also have come to know to be true is that this life is meant to be a challenge, to help us grow and learn.  We are not meant to go through it alone. We are supposed to rely on others, we are supposed to rely on our Savior. And just like Isaiah says, if we are relying on Christ we don't need to fear:)

First Week Of The Last Transfer

This is the first week of my last transfer. I can't believe it! Where did the time go? Sister Drury and I are staying together as Visitors Center Trainers and I could not be more excited. It's going to be a great last 6 weeks. Highs/Lows of the week: ☆We had our first lesson with Kennedy this week and it went so so well. She is such a faithful person. Her boyfriend, who is a member, was telling us that she is always encouraging him to go to church. Kennedy was so cute and took notes throughout the whole lesson so she wouldn't forget anything ☆There was THE BIGGEST SPIDER I have ever seen at the Visitors Center. I am sure it could have eaten me if it was hungry enough. One of the senior Elders was so brave and killed it for us. He is a true life saver ☆We got a shipment in of the Book of Mormon in Navajo. 1st edition! Yummiest Taco Soup Ever!

Highs/Lows from the week: ☆I had interviews with President Bassett yesterday and it was great ☆we saw a spider tie up a fly then kill it. Kinda cool but it was inside our house so then we vacuumed them both up. RIP the fly ☆lots of exchanges ☆One of our members girlfriend wants to take the lessons so we are excited to start teaching her ☆everytime we cook we get a million flies in our house. I think there might be a hole in the window screen. ☆we gave a tour to a lady named Elizabeth at the visitors center and at the end of the tour she says "so is there a place I can go to learn more?" Why yes Elizabeth, there is a place you can go to learn more.:) She wasn't interested in staying in contact with us but we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and showed her the church's website.
