Transfers
My P day changed to Tuesday so that is why I didn't send an email last week.
We had transfers last week and A LOT has changed! My new companion is Sister Drury. I was in the MTC with her and we have been waiting our whole missions to be companions. We are so excited to be together. We keep thinking it's not real and someone is going to call us and tell us there was a mistake. We are no longer over 2 wards anymore, we kept one ward and lost the other. Sister Drury and I are the new Visitor Center Trainers, so instead of dividing up our day at the Visitors Center, Teaching Center, and Polynesian Culture Center, we spend all of our day at the Visitors Center going on exchanges with all the sisters in the mission. We have been crazy busy since the transfer started but it is so fun!
Highs/Lows from the past 2 weeks
+we had Sister Morse's Aloha Oe and it was so sad
+soo many lessons with members!
+had to say goodbye to my favorite members from YSA 13th:(
+went on a million exchanges!
+witnessed the most UNREAL sunset
+found breadfruit on BYU-H campus and made Ulu chips
+I met Iam Tongi and he sang "Love One Another"
Sister Drury and I are having a blast! We hit 15 months today and are just shocked at how old we are in the mission.
With finals going on right now we have been focusing the messages we share with our members on finding peace. What better place can we go to find peace than in the House of the Lord. President Monson said in his April 2011 talk "As you and I go to the holy houses of God, as we remember the covenants we make within, we will be more able to bear every trial and to overcome each temptation. In this sacred sanctuary we will find peace; we will be renewed and fortified." If you haven't been to the temple recently, let this be your sign to go. If you can't go inside, go sit on the grounds. I promise you can find peace at the temple.
Love you all!
xoxo,
