First Week Of The Last Transfer
This is the first week of my last transfer. I can't believe it! Where did the time go? Sister Drury and I are staying together as Visitors Center Trainers and I could not be more excited. It's going to be a great last 6 weeks.
Highs/Lows of the week:
☆We had our first lesson with Kennedy this week and it went so so well. She is such a faithful person. Her boyfriend, who is a member, was telling us that she is always encouraging him to go to church. Kennedy was so cute and took notes throughout the whole lesson so she wouldn't forget anything
☆There was THE BIGGEST SPIDER I have ever seen at the Visitors Center. I am sure it could have eaten me if it was hungry enough. One of the senior Elders was so brave and killed it for us. He is a true life saver
☆We got a shipment in of the Book of Mormon in Navajo. 1st edition! I remember when I was about 9 months into my mission talking to a man who was helping them translate it while he was serving his mission. At that point they were only to 2nd Nephi so it was cool see the whole thing done.
☆I got to see all my friends from the Honolulu Mission at the Visitors Center before they went home. Crazy that in 6 weeks it will be me that is going home!
☆The temperature dropped to 61° this week and I was FREEZING! I know all of you are laughing at me right now but Hawaii stays pretty consistent between 75°-85° so if it drops anything below that everyone pulls out their huge jackets and turn on their heaters. Idk how I am supposed to return to the cold.
☆We have a competition between the missionaries in the mission on who can take the best picture of the temple. Whoever does gets their picture made into a postcard. Sister Drury and I won so stay tuned to see my postcard. Let me know if you want me to send you one.
☆The Japanese Sisters styled my hair all cute. Image down below:)
I feel like lately I have been reflecting on my mission a lot. Thinking about if I have worked hard enough or if I gave everything my all. I think alot of us think this way just about life in general. I was looking at the quote of the day yesterday and I thought it was perfect for how I was feeling. It's by Jan E. Newman and he says "My dear friends in Christ, you are doing much better than you think." It's so so easy to be hard on ourselves. Judge ourselves for not doing more. God and Jesus Christ are so aware of our efforts and they are so proud of us for trying. I'm grateful for each of you, I KNOW God loves, and He is proud of you.
Love you all so much!!
Xoxo,
Sister Jensen
