It Was A Good Week
We find out transfer news tonight so I am a little stressed but also so excited for whatever happens these last 6 weeks.
Highs/Lows from the week:
☆I went to go brush my teeth and there was a gross little bug on it. I think it was a maggot but I'm just going to pretend it wasn't
☆I got a toothbrush for Christmas
☆Sister Drury and I have become chefs, I also have found a new love for fried eggs
☆I hit 16 months
☆ by the end of this transfer(Thursday), I will have gone on 68 exchanges in thr past 6 weeks! I absolutely love love love VC exchanges
☆I met a lady at the Visitors Center and we figured out we are 5th cousins. Wild!
☆All the Christmas decorations at the VC are gone. So sad. Oh a happy note though I got to go into the attic at the Visitors Center for the first time. It was so exciting
☆This won't make sense to most of the people reading this, but last Christmas(like in 2022) a sister in the mission gave out stickers that had the temple on it and it said "Hawaii Laie Mission 2022". I for some reason did not see them when they were passing them out and I missed getting one. I have been so sad about it ever since. I was on exchanges the other day and I was telling a sister about it and she said she had an extra one then she pulled it out and gave it to me! Such a tender mercy!
☆We talked to soo many people that are so prepared at the VC this week!
☆played pickleball with the lead STL'S today
☆We were walking around campus sharing uplifting messages and EVERY SINGLE PERSON we talked to brought the conversation back to tithing. It was really cool but also I think God is trying to tell me something lol.
Honestly nothing too big happened but regardless it was a really good week. I am loving being a missionary right now. I have been thinking alot lately about Obedience. During my Come Follow Me reading I read 1 Nephi 2:3 and it said "And it came to pass that he was obedient unto the word of the Lord, wherefore he did as the Lord commanded him." First of all, I love that he(this verse is talking about Lehi and his family leaving Jerusalem) just did it because the Lord asked him too. But I also love that in the footnotes the word "obedient" is connected to the word "commitment". I had never really thought about the fact that when we are obedient to God's commandments, we are showing our commitment to Him and His gospel. I would encourage you all to think of a way that you can be more obedient to the commandments.
Love you all!
Xoxo,
Sister Jensen
