Aloha Oe

This week has been crazy! Sister Drury left on Tuesday and ever since then things have just not slowed down!

I'm spending the last week of my mission on a trio! I have always hated the idea of being in a trio but I am having a blast! Sister Whitehead & Argyle are the cutest:) We are now covering 2 wards and I'm VC Trainer by myself:/ so so busy! It's actually so fun though!

The other day I was on exchanges with Sister Boyle and we had the coolest guys come in 10 minutes before the Visitors Center closed! Jason from Switzerland and Sven from Germany. Both are here in Hawaii as exchange students. They decided they wanted to ride around the island of Oahu on mopeds. Sounds like a fun and cute idea right? Mopeds aren't the best form of travel and over heat. Meaning, every 45 minutes Sven and Jason needed to stop to allow their scooters time to cool down. They just happened to be at the 45 minute mark as they were passing the temple. When they walked into the Visitors Center they could said they could feel the peace that is present on the grounds. Because the Visitors Center was closing we only got to show them a little bit but they were so receptive to everything we shared with them. The spirit was so strong as they shared with us their relationships with God. Jason said as he was leaving that he was going to look up our church when he goes back home to Switzerland:)

Never thought the day would come but I finally had my Aloha Oe. So bitter sweet.

I went to the Polynesian Culture Center twice this week to go to the island, buffet, and night show. Once with Sister Drury and another time with the rest of the departing missionaries. It was a blast! The night show is UNREAL! It was beautiful

I now live with 2 sisters from Japan, 1 from South Korea, and 1 from the Philippines. They have never heard of the game "Duck, Duck, Goose" so we spent our evening one night teaching them how to play. So funny!

Wow! I can't believe this is my last weekly email as a missionary. Where did the time go? Jk, this was the longest but also the shortest year and a half of my life! I was looking at the very first email I sent as a missionary and I thought it would be fitting to end with the same spiritual thought I started with:) At the beginning of my mission I didn't know why I was serving a mission and I was super homesick. A scripture I came across that has stuck with me throughout my mission was Mosiah 4:9. It says, "Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend." As I read this scripture the spirit confirmed to me that God had a plan for me and even though I couldn't see what that plan was, He knew exactly what He was doing. Now that I am at the end of my mission I can see how I was able to be apart of God's plan. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to serve people from all over the world here in Hawaii. My Testimony of God's plan had grown so much these last 18 months.

The homesickness never did go away but it's all good cause I get home on Thursday!! I give my homecoming talk next Sunday the 25th @ 10:30 and would love to see you all there. I will put the address down below for anyone that needs it. Let me know if you need the zoom link

This has been the most fulfilling 18 months of my life so far! I hope it only gets better from here:)

See you all soo soon!
Xoxo,
Sister Jensen
