Merry Christmas everyone! I don't have time to write an email today but my mom wants me to send one every weeks so here is my short and simple email. I am grateful for my Savior and that He was born that night long long ago. I know He lives:) Love you all! Xoxo, Sister  Jensen

Yummiest Taco Soup Ever!

Image
Highs/Lows from the week: ☆I had interviews with President Bassett yesterday and it was great ☆we saw a spider tie up a fly then kill it. Kinda cool but it was inside our house so then we vacuumed them both up. RIP the fly ☆lots of exchanges ☆One of our members girlfriend wants to take the lessons so we are excited to start teaching her ☆everytime we cook we get a million flies in our house. I think there might be a hole in the window screen. ☆we gave a tour to a lady named Elizabeth at the visitors center and at the end of the tour she says "so is there a place I can go to learn more?" Why yes Elizabeth, there is a place you can go to learn more.:) She wasn't interested in staying in contact with us but we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and showed her the church's website. She was so interested in learning more! ☆my cousins had me and my companion over for dinner and they made the YUMMIEST taco soup. On Facebook I have been posting a series about different Chr...

My Life In Hawaii Right Now

Image
This week Sister Drury and I went on 14 exchanges at the Visitors Center. I am having a blast. It is so fun to learn from all the Sisters in the mission and see how everyone does missionary work differently. I am learning soo much! I know without a doubt that I am learning more from all the Sisters then they are learning from me. The Highs/Lows of the week: ☆We did a Visitors Center training for all the missionaries in the mission and it was so scary! It ended up turning out really good and everyone enjoyed it ☆Shared the story of how the Hawaiian Book of Mormon was translated with Tracy Y. Browning! That was so cool! ☆Zone Confrence was yesterday and I learned so much! I learned that in order for me to come closer to my companion I need to come closer to the Savior ☆My favorite person ever finished her mission this week. Definitely the saddest day of my mission FR! ☆We went to watch the waves today and a wild Parrott landed on our car and would not leave us alone. Luckily an angel nam...

Transfers

Image
My P day changed to Tuesday so that is why I didn't send an email last week. We had transfers last week and A LOT has changed! My new companion is Sister Drury. I was in the MTC with her and we have been waiting our whole missions to be companions. We are so excited to be together. We keep thinking it's not real and someone is going to call us and tell us there was a mistake. We are no longer over 2 wards anymore, we kept one ward and lost the other. Sister Drury and I are the new Visitor Center Trainers, so instead of dividing up our day at the Visitors Center, Teaching Center, and Polynesian Culture Center, we spend all of our day at the Visitors Center going on exchanges with all the sisters in the mission. We have been crazy busy since the transfer started but it is so fun! Highs/Lows from the past 2 weeks +we had Sister Morse's Aloha Oe and it was so sad +soo many lessons with members! +had to say goodbye to my favorite members from YSA 13th:( +went on a million exchan...

Happy Thanksgiving

Image
This Thanksgiving i am grateful for eternal families. God truly is so loving to provide a way for us to be with our families forever. Sometimes I wonder if I am expressing my gratitude to others enough. I was looking back on the talk from this past general conference called "Hallmarks of Happiness". In the talk he says "How our awareness would change if every morning we awoke with only the blessings we were grateful for the night before." I don't think I tell people very often that I am grateful for them and I don't think I always express to God how grateful I am for all that He has given me. Soooo this week I am going to focus on expressing gratitude it every interaction I have. I invite you to do the same:) I would love to know how it goes. Highs/Lows this week: ☆We decorated the Visitors Center for Christmas and it looks so pretty! ☆College essays are almost due ☆My FAVORITE students on campus bought us dinner ☆I ran into Sister Morse, my bestie, so many ...

100 Days Left?!

Image
I have less than 100 days left as a missionary. Wild! Highs/Lows of the week: ☆I went to make granola and when I opened my oats it was filled with bugs! so sad ☆I bought new oats and made granola and it was delicious! ☆my huge bag of pancake mix was also filled with bugs. RIP ☆One of my members is from Australia and she said when I get home she will hit me up with an Australia man for me to marry ☆My friend from my last area(H2 best ward!) got baptized last Saturday! *Our members made us Adobo(a filipino dish) ☆I had intrviews with President Bassett and it was much needed ☆Sister Roskelley and I had so many amazing tours at the Visitors Center this week! ☆We made lots of hand turkeys with our members this week. ☆as a mission we cleaned the fountain in front of the Visitors Center. I can confidently say it was every sisters dream to climb into the fountain The weather has dropped down from 80° to 70° this week and I have been so cold. There is no reason I should be walking around in a j...
